Maxa Technologies appointed Master Distributor for Bluebird Soft and its range of Pidion mobile computers

Maxa Technologies (Maxatec), specialist supplier of hardware and services to the Mobile, Automatic Identification and POS market sectors, has been appointed Master Distributor for the Pidion range of mobile computers. The agreement covers UK and Ireland. Maxatec comments that Bluebird Soft's Pidion range of mobile computers is fast becoming one of the best on the market, with their flexible functionality and ergonomic design. The product portfolio is suitable across a wide variety of industries including, but not limited, to field force automation, logistics, construction, government/public sector and retail.

The latest releases within the Pidion range include the BM-170 and BIP-7000. The BM-170 is a semi-rugged PDA designed to withstand multiple 1.5m drops, and has a crack resistant TouchWindow LCD as well as high speed data communication and best-in-class performance. The 806 MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system deliver maximum computing power with easy system integration. The BIP-7000 is a smart, but rugged, mobile computer providing flexible functionality with data collection and communication capabilities.  Rated to IP65 and designed for comfortable handling, the BIP-7000 provides communication options to meet everyday business needs as well as delivering a high level of computing power.
