BlueStar, the global distributor of ADC, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, Digital Signage, and ID & Security technology solutions, has introduced Datamax-O'Neil's rugged RL4 four-inch label printer, extending the scope of the industry's portable label printer technology.

The RL4 is a 4-inch label printer, designed for tough environments typical of manufacturing, transportation and logistics.  It has achieved the MIL-STD 810 drop standard, which requires 26 consecutive drops at six feet to concrete, and utilises a patent-pending design that provides the ability to load and unload media using only one hand.
"This printer combines adaptability, speed and reliability into a comprehensive package, perfect for those verticals that require a solution that can take a beating and continue to function flawlessly," said Rob Dorsey, vice president of sales at BlueStar. "This piece of forward-thinking, industry-tested technology can be combined with a variety of BlueStar's critical software and accessory bundles for progressive, customizable solutions."
The printer's optimized LCD was designed with input from usability experts. It is easily compatible with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) enterprise environments, including SAP, Oracle and AS/400 protocols, as well as many common label design software packages. BlueStar will distribute the RL4 globally.
