In one of the most important initiatives within the company's dynamic product development programme, OKI Printing Solutions has launched the MC561 A4 colour desktop multifunction product targeted at the important small and medium-sized business.

The MC561 has been designed to take a decisive lead in cost and performance in the colour MFP market and reflects the market's growing recognition of the benefits of MFPs in bringing together the ability to print, scan, copy and fax documents cost-effectively within a single compact device.

Using the same advanced OKI print engine as used in the recently introduced C500 Series of colour A4 printers, the MC561 uses a newly developed LED-lit scanner and controller. It also has a standard 50-sheet Reversing Automatic Document Feeder (RADF) which can quickly and simply manage copying, scanning and faxing double-sided documents.

Print speeds are impressive, with the MC561 delivering 26ppm colour and 30ppm mono. This enables users to be much more efficient and effective in expanding the range of print tasks which can be undertaken in-house.

"The MC561 represents a leap forward in terms of functionality and puts professional document production and management in reach of every business or busy workgroup," says Alan McLeish, senior product marketing manager. "This compact and ergonomically designed desktop MFP is easy-to-use and allows users to easily copy documents, produce full colour prints, scan to a variety of locations and fax important documents. The MC561 is low cost to purchase and to run whilst advanced power management techniques deliver a 'Deep Sleep' power consumption of less than 1.5 watts, saving money when the unit is not in use."
