SMARTRAC N.V., a developer, manufacturer and supplier of RFID transponders, has been chosen as manufacturer and supplier to deliver initial volumes of high security RFID inlays for an electronic identification (e-ID) document in South America. The name of the customer, country, and the volumes of the project are subject to a confidentiality agreement.
SMARTRAC is a provider of RFID inlays for e-Passports and National ID Cards delivering its smart and secure inlays to more than 40 e-ID projects worldwide. Being able to serve both, electronic passports and e-ID cards makes SMARTRAC the preferred manufacturing partner for demanding high security projects.

The inlays are manufactured with the company's proprietary patented wire-embedding technology that has proven to be best suited for contactless antennas with the outmost product performance for high-profile applications.
