DASCOM GB, developer, manufacturer and provider of enterprise printing solutions, has launched three new thermal printers in the upper speed range, TallyDASCOM 7010, 7106 and 7206. The printers have been specifically designed to provide reliability, robustness and high printing speeds in retail and manufacturing environments, and are very user-friendly, thanks to the new "Easy System".

The rugged, but user-friendly designs of the printers, which include a space saving vertical opening and an easy to use all-metal print mechanism to ensure quick media loading, makes them ideal for small spaces and means that even large print orders can be processed without any problems. The printers also excel through simple operation and administration using the "Easy System".

The 7106 is a direct thermal printer, whereas the 7206 is a thermal transfer printer offering automatic ribbon tension to deliver exceptional printing quality and reliability. Both printers have a printing width of 4 inches and work at a speed of up to 6 inches per second. They can also be adjusted to specific requirements with a number of options, such as dispensers, cutters and large paper roll holders.

The flagship of the new series is the 7010 thermal transfer printer. Its large graphic LCD provides a clear indication of printer status and auto switching Zebra and Datamax emulation ensures easy printer configuration. The basic machine can be upgraded with dispensers and cutters, whilst the 7010R includes an integrated peeler as well as a rewinder for backing paper or labels, and easy label dispensing. Both versions achieve a printing speed of up to 10 inches/second.

"With the new models, we are transferring our renowned attributes of 'robustness', 'reliability' and 'efficiency' from the dot matrix printers to the thermal printers," said DASCOM GB's Managing Director, Robin Edwardes. "These printers reflect the wealth of experience we have in this application segment. For this reason, we offer our end user customers the opportunity to upgrade to a 3 year warranty* on this range of new thermal printers."
