Ingram Micro EMEA appoints Jason Beal to strengthen growing value division

Ingram Micro EMEA, a division of Ingram Micro Inc., the global wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain management services, has appointed Jason Beal Senior Director, Software and Services, Value Division. Effective 1 January 2011. He will be based in Brussels, Belgium, and will report to Vincenzo Baggio, Senior Vice President, Vendor Management and Business Development, EMEA.

Beal will be responsible for developing go-to-market strategies for the value software portfolio and services on a pan-European basis. He will work closely with the local country businesses to expand the number of value software vendors, while developing attractive advanced technology solutions and robust reseller programs.

Our appointment of Jason Beal is another strong step forward in this evolution."

Jason Beal joins Ingram Micro EMEA from Ingram Micro North America where he was most recently Director, Service Sales, Value. He brings over 10 years of experience in the IT channel in sales, operations and service roles, along with a proven track record of building strong vendor and customer relationships. Most recently, Jason was responsible for launching and growing the Services Division, including introducing Seismic managed services, Ingram Micro's vendor certification and training business, and building our onsite professional services network.

This latest addition to Ingram Micro EMEA's Value Division is another strong sign of the company's commitment to grow in the value space.

In September we added another team of value specialists with the acquisition of interAct, a value-add distributor serving over 500 customers in Belgium and Luxembourg. interAct was our third acquisition in less than a year, adding to Albora Solucionnes in Spain and Portugal, and CCD in the UK. Earlier this week, we announced the creation of a new, independent value division in France and appointed industry veteran Michel Cohen to lead it. Clearly, we are aggressively pursuing new high-growth markets through specialization in advanced technologies, excellence in customer contact and dedicated resources."
