ScanSource Communications Europe has released a new and improved version of its powerful IP Office Designer tool, and in doing so has made it available to the UK market for the first time. The Avaya designer, which is free to use for approved resellers, will improve the product sourcing process with its combination of catalogue, configuration and validation tool.
Based on Avaya IP Office 6.0, ScanSource's IP Office Designer automates and facilitates the selection of hardware that end users require based on criteria that the reseller puts in to the tool. Users have full control over the way they operate the tool; specialists can use a more manual approach, whereas those who provide communications as a secondary service are automatically directed towards a fully functioning solution.
The Designer is a configuration tool with several additional features. Resellers can navigate through product details in a similar vein to browsing through a specialist catalogue and can check that their selected solution is complete and operational by using the IP Office Designer's validation functions the tool even automatically provides the correct power supplies according to the chosen region.
"This is genuinely the most professional configuration tool I have ever seen," said Paul Emery, UK Technical Manager, ScanSource Communications Europe. "We wanted to not only provide a tool that does the job it's meant to, but also one that is personalised, flexible, easy to use and, ultimately, one we are proud of."
ScanSource provides the tool free-of-charge and updates it every 30 days so that it always features the latest products available in the channel. The tool will be unveiled to the UK market this coming Thursday, 7th October during the ScanSource Communications Europe Avaya Information Meeting at the Madejski Stadium, Reading, where resellers will be given a full demonstration of the IP Office Designer's functionality.
Finally, as part of its commitment to supporting reseller partners in their business and growing knowledge in the channel, ScanSource has additionally planned to run several web-based training seminars, details of which are soon to be announced, meaning that users are sure to get the most from the IP Office Designer.
