Paul Callow has been appointed as Lexmark's ISD & channel director, UK & Ireland, to re-energise the company's channel. Under his management, Lexmark will launch a refreshed channel programme, designed to incentivise partners with promotions and rewards for dealers and to help encourage loyalty and sales growth from end-users.

Under Callow's direction, Lexmark is set to increase its 40 Lexmark Value Print dedicated dealers by 50 per cent by the close of 2010. Further, Callow intends to develop a much deeper strategic relationship with a core group of 'Expert' and 'Premium' dealers, who will be instrumental in helping to increase Lexmark's presence in the SMB, enterprise and education sectors.

Channel players are invited to take advantage of promotions running until January 2011, which are specifically tailored to generate immediate sales uplift and the chance to build improved customer loyalty for the ongoing consumables business. These incentives together complement the channel programme, and will be key drivers in increasing sales of workgroup laser and MFP laser units for Lexmark.

"Paul has spent years getting under the skin of distributors and dealers in his marketing and channel roles, so he was the natural choice for this position," said Steve Purdy, country general manager at Lexmark UK. "As importantly for our plans at Lexmark, Paul understands how we can stabilise the channel, allowing dealers to take full advantage of our revamped channel support programme, grow our reseller base, and nurture the green shoots starting to come through from the hard work of the last twelve months."

Callow brings with him over a decade of experience gained in complex channel, customer sales and marketing roles.
