Oops!Backup version 3 introduces the ability to hold backups across multiple storage devices simultaneously thereby doubling protection in case the primary backup drive fails. For example you can choose to store your main backups on an External drive and use a NAS as a redundant drive - and vice-versa. If the main drive is lost you can get your backup files from the secondary drive -this in hand offers you Double Protection.
As from version 3 users now also have the ability to back up directly to UNC drives in case of NAS (Network Attached Storage) and file servers, helping laptop and desktop users that need to hold backups at two different locations.
"The positive feedback we received for our Beta Program is a testament to the innovative approach to backup within Oops!Backup. Version 3 adds more layers of protection and more deployment options, giving people peace of mind that their data is safely backed up and more importantly, easily retrievable at any time with a simple click" comments David Vella, CEO of Altaro.
Oops!Backup not only backs up and recovers the most current version of a file but, also allows users to go back in time and effortlessly restore older versions of their work - that is, it stores a historical record of the distinctive changes made to a file in that file's lifespan and presents those changes to the user for easy retrieval.
