Toshiba TEC has launched the B-EP8, a new in-vehicle printer to its mobile range. This top-of-the-range technology offers a 24-pin high resolution printhead and other flexible options said to be perfectly suited for route sales business operations.
The new rugged B-EP8 printer excels in being a low-maintenance workhorse for the mobile sales force. Utilising applications from its partners, the Toshiba mobile printer range captures, moves and manages data at the point of business activity, so sales staff have what they need to make the most of every face-to-face encounter.
The vehicle-mounted printer is designed to allow delivery staff to produce either single sheet or multi-part invoices, delivery notes or other forms whenever they are needed. The Toshiba B-EP8 dot matrix printer offers a continuous form or single sheet forms (paper size is 102 x 267mm width) and a print speed of up to 400 characters/sec, allowing documents to be produced quickly and easily to suit individual customer applications.
"The 180-degree printer cover opening enables safe and easy replacement of the ribbon cassette; and there is no need for batteries as the B-EP8 operates either on an AC adapter or directly from the vehicle DC power circuit," commented Angel de Juan, Retail and Auto ID Director, Toshiba TEC Europe. "These are just two examples of the high standards we have included to the newest addition in our mobility range." The Toshiba B-EP mobile dot printer is available now through Toshiba TEC's channel network in Europe.
