m3The M3 White is the first slim size enterprise-grade mobile computer from M3 Mobile available with anti-infection casing that has been designed specifically for healthcare applications such as point of care, medical records, patient identification, waste management and inventory control.

The M3 White is based on the rugged and affordable M3 Sky, so it offers everything end users have come to expect from a mobile computer, but also comes with an anti-infection casing protecting medical environments from the spread of infection, commented Paula Robinson, internal sales manager at Blackroc Distribution, who added: The AEGIS Antimicrobial technology provides long-term protection against all bacteria, fungus, algae, and mould, and a special coated casing containing silver-nano particles allows the device to be regularly sterilised without affecting durability.

Real-time data exchange
Although the device has been specifically designed for medical applications, the M3 White is rugged and equipped with the latest technology. With integrated Wi-Fi the M3 White allows real-time exchange of mission critical medical data. Bluetooth connectivity also enables the device to be easily integrated with a range of peripherals including mobile printers, while its WAN (GPRS/Edge/3G) enables real-time communications and data transfer. In addition, the M3 White has an integrated coloured camera with auto focus and flash for high-quality image capture and optional RFID 13.56Mhz functionality to satisfy requirements of RFID-based applications.

Two-year warranty
Like all M3 Mobile devices, the M3 White will also come with a two-year warranty, and any necessary repairs will be carried out by Blackroc Distribution, the UK-based authorised repair centre, to ensure fast turnaround times. The device has already been proven to enhance medical productivity and efficiency of medical IT operations in countries outside the UK. In many cases the investment made in this new technology has been quickly offset by savings in compensation paid as a result of errors in patient care and reduction of extra bed days caused by misidentification of patients.

We are excited about this new addition to M3 Mobile family and introducing M3 Mobile products to the healthcare sector, concluded Robinson. The launch of the M3 White gives resellers the opportunity to offer NHS Trusts in the UK an affordable and reliable device that meets their needs. The forthcoming reseller Open Day hosted by Blackroc this summer will be a good opportunity to see the new device in the flesh.
