Expanding its commitment to being a channel centric company, Star Micronics America has announced a new distribution agreement with IT distributor Ingram Micro Inc. Under the terms of the new alliance, the Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division will distribute Star Micronics America's line of point of service products, including thermal, impact, hybrid, and mobile printers to channel partners throughout the US.
"We are excited to work with the Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division and establish an important new distribution channel that will enable us to partner with SMB-focused IT solution providers who are specialised in multiple industry verticals," stated Michael Hanson, vice president of Star Micronics America. "Ingram Micro's proven expertise and market reach within both established and emerging verticals will help bring Star's quality products to even more markets and support Star's growth in key areas."
As part of the agreement, all small printers, including the 2010 line of portable printers and the new TSP100ECO, will be made available through Ingram Micro US. The rich product line features products for the healthcare, banking, retail, hospitality and many other industries where Ingram Micro has a strong presence.

As a new Ingram Micro vendor partner, Star will make its debut at the sixth annual Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Partner Invitational May 26 - 28 in Chicago, IL.
