Varlink, the York based mobile computing and data capture specialist distributor, has introduced Opticons H-21 mobile computer, the latest addition to the successful H-Series family, which packs in rich functionality into a compact form factor.The H-21 is powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 and features a 3.2 megapixel colour camera with autofocus and flash light and embeds either a 1D laser scanner or 2D imager. Built to last, the H-21 is extremely durable and can withstand multiple drops to concrete from 1.5m as well as adverse environmental conditions, with its IP64 compliant design.
In situations where connectivity, communication and ease of use are important, mobile workers have true mobility and flexibility with the H-21. The device incorporates assisted GPS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 3G and 3.5G communication; Bluetooth, WiFi and IrDA which are standard on all models available.
The 2.8 touch screen is ideal for signature capture and displaying data on the H-21. The memory can also be expanded by microSD I/O via a user accessible slot. Mobile workers can maximise efficient data entry by choosing either a numeric or QWERTY keypad. Opticon has also equipped the H-21 with a 3060mAh Li-Ion battery to increase operational effectiveness.
The H-21 is ideal for application areas such as field service, field sales and merchandising, logistics and courier services and facilities management.
