ScanSource Sees Resellers Turn Out En Masse For Partner Tour

ScanSource Europe has seen huge success with the opening dates of its pan-European roadshow. Large numbers of resellers attended the first two events of the value-added distributors 2010 Partner Tour.

scansourceOn 30th March, the Partner Tour stopped off in Rotterdam, where ScanSource welcomed over 200 people to the event. Held on board the recently refurbished cruise ship Rotterdam, anchored in Rotterdam harbour and newly opened as an event venue, the event centred around an exhibition area featuring booths from more than 20 vendors and ISVs. Roy Heiner, the Dutch Olympic and Volvo Ocean Race sailor delivered a keynote speech on teamwork and motivation. ScanSource also offered two resellers the chance to compete against each other in a personalised Team Heiner sailing activity in the coming weeks. An evening casino activity enabled networking long into the night.

The Partner Tour gives us the opportunity to get to know the line cards of the different vendors in more depth, said Sam Scheunis, Division Manager at Belgian reseller Etilux. The better we are informed, the better we can offer the right solution to our customers. This event really provides us with a great overview of all the products that we can purchase from ScanSource Europe.

On 22nd April, the first ever Partner Tour in Eastern Europe took place, with over 130 attendees turning out at the Novotel Warszawa Centrum in Poland. As it was ScanSources first event in the region, the event focussed on educating resellers about the distributors core service offerings, as well as introducing ScanSource personnel to the local vendors and customers.

The attendance in Warsaw was extremely encouraging, said Maurice van Rijn, Sales Director Northern Europe, ScanSource Europe. Resellers were keen to find out how ScanSource could help them grow their business and as a networking event, many valuable contacts were made. ScanSource also gave away a Porsche driving experience for the team of one lucky reseller.

The Partner Tour moves on to Spain (ME Hotel, Barcelona 18th May), Denmark (DGI-byen, Copenhagen 3rd June) and the UK (PalmerSport, Bedford 16th June) in the following months.
