Avery Dennison Printer Systems Division is launching its new complete labelling concept to facilitate markdowns and in-store promotions during hectic sales periods.
The Retail Solution is a hand-held print-and-apply labelling package, pre-installed with intuitive and practical software, saving the client time and trouble configuring or manually loading pricing information. The client receives a complete labelling solution they can use right out of the box. 84% of consumers have left a store without buying what they wanted because issues related to incorrect labelling or markdown pricing on a particular item, making Avery Dennison's Retail Solution an important development for the retail industry.
The simple user interface allows error free access to preconfigured pricing, markdown, promotion and shelf edge labels. The ADSYNC software ensures pricing files will be uploaded and downloaded automatically between a PC and hand held device, with no bespoke software development required. This instant, two-way communication between the device and the master stock file makes inventory control consistent and simple, eliminating stock discrepancies.
34% of retailers carry out markdowns manually during store opening hours, which takes sales assistants away from the customers, leading to a drop in service levels, more errors and unhappy customers. The Retail Solution brings between 50% - 80% time-saving efficiencies that allows store assistants to spend more time selling to customers.
The Retail Solution is based around the Pathfinder Ultra hand-held computer that combines scanning, data collection and print-and-apply labelling all in one compact machine. The terminal is fully loaded with pricing, markdown, promotional, shelf-edge labelling and inventory applications and is compatible with different label formats, colours and sizes such as red circles, shelf edge labels and square labels.
IT Manager at Desigual in Spain, Toni Sanchez Navajas states The Pathfinder combines all the tools we need in a single device. Information Director at DATCH in Italy, Andrea Pachera, says Since using Pathfinder Ultra Platinum 6039 we have increased our efficiency by about 60% and have reduced time spent on re-labelling.
