DocuWare AG opens French subsidiary

DocuWare SARL was founded by DMS pioneer DocuWare on September 1, 2008; in mid-November the company moved into its new Paris offices. From here, the new subsidiary will be taking on the task of expanding DocuWare's document management business in France and Northern Africa.

Until 2006, DocuWare AG had been covering the French market from Germany. For the past two years, it has had a local team representing the company in France.  The growing demand for DocuWare's document management solutions in France and in the other French-speaking countries of Northern Africa led to the decision to fortify the local presence by founding DocuWare SARL.  The powerful local team is responsible for providing even better support for customers and partners, at the same time realizing the growth potential offered by the French market.  In mid-November, the employees moved into new offices in walking distance of the Eiffel Tower.

Further Expansion Planned

The DocuWare Group's international business is a critical component of the company's success.  More than half of its revenues in 2007 were generated on the American continent and in the region covering EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa, excluding Germany and the UK).  The company is increasingly investing in providing a local presence: since the beginning of 2001, the company has had a subsidiary in the USA; in 2005, DocuWare Ltd was founded in the UK in 2006, a Spanish representation followed in Barcelona. Expansion efforts are enhanced - but not yet complete - with the founding of DocuWare SARL.
