Handheld expands into Latin America

Handheld has announced its continued global expansion by joining forces with Latin America distributor, SC Technologies. Led by Luis Uriarte and based in Miami, Florida.

Led by Luis Uriarte and based in Miami, Florida, SC Technologies sells rugged mobile computers via an extensive partner network throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. 

Rugged computer use continues to grow in Latin America, as it does throughout the world. Were pleased to be able to expand our presence by joining forces with SC Technologies, said Jerker Hellstrm, CEO of the Handheld group. Our goal in signing new distribution is to find partners who can add that extra level of support that our customers have come to expect from Handheld companies. SC Technologies longstanding experience with mobile technology in Latin America will serve our customers well. 

We are excited to bring the Handheld product line into Latin America, said Luis Uriarte, CEO of SC Technologies. The depth of the product line allows us to offer our customers more options to get their work done. By offering tablets in addition to handhelds and PDAs, and cutting edge as well as good value technology, our customers will truly be able to find a solution that works best for them.  

Handheld Latin America offers the Algiz 8, M3 Mobile, and M3 eTicket as well as the TDS Nomad, Recon and Ranger rugged handheld computers.
