Intel have launched Intel Technology Provider, an extension of their very successful Intel Channel Partner Programme designed specifically for reseller salespeople.

Programme content

Intel Technology Provider is a specifically designed interactive web and ecomms system that is packed full of useful tools and services to help resellers develop long term relationships with their customer base, increase sales, cross and upsell and to identify new market opportunities.

The programme engages resellers by offering a wealth of content that isnt normally available from sales and marketing tool kits, online training guides, case studies, market intelligence and solution guides to invitations to relevant event activities being run in local regions.

Resellers will be able to interact with Intel Technology Provider via a number of mechanisms including access to an ask Intel telephone, email and chat service and where resource is available field sales managers, events and trainers.

When and where?

Intel has been piloting the system for the last several months.  In April, Intel Technology Provider was successful launched at the EMEA IT Channel Vision conference in Rome where it was awarded Best Solution Provider Channel Strategy by the delegates.

Recruitment activity is currently taking place in UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy based on the theme No gimmicks Just real business rewards. 

Key message

The No Gimmicks theme emphasizes Intels desire to do business with European reseller community - and empower reseller sales people by focusing on how they can help their customers, their companies and themselves by providing them with a relationship with Intel and knowledge straight from the source.

Target audience

Intel Technology Provider has been built around Intels desire to work more closely with the European reseller community.
The initiative engages with European resellers selling systems, solutions and services built around Intel based technology - those resellers who primarily base their services and solutions on hardware from other OEMs (local, national or multinationals).   

Why are we doing this?

The vendor programmes of the OEMs need to focus on selling their products and focus on transactions. 

Intel can complement the work its OEM customers do with their channels by augmenting salespeoples knowledge. 

Resellers believe that Intel can provide a long-term view and offer trusted advice regardless of the name on the box.  Based on the feedback from Intels regional engagement with resellers and through focus group and research methods Intel believe they have built a value proposition based on their ability to be agnostic - and this has very high credibility with resellers.
