The distribution deal follows increasing demand for Googles enterprise search products in EMEA. Ingram Micros extensive reseller base will help to create and fulfil customer demand across the region by now making Google search technology accessible to organizations of all sizes across all industries.

Todays ability to access information in a secured, timely and easy manner can be critical to the success of a business. By adding the Google Mini and GSA to our portfolio, we are providing our channel partners with access to new revenue streams from one of the worlds most recognized brand names, said Jay Forbes, President Ingram Micro EMEA.  Our extended market reach and strong channel expertise make us the ideal partner for companies like Google who wish to reach out to a large audience.

Both products are highly customizable and designed to allow rapid searches for all types of information on an organizations intranet or Web site. The Google Mini and Google Search Appliance discover and retrieve information stored on a corporate Intranet, Web server, file server, content management systems and other locations in a secure and highly relevant manner. Information can be found in more than 220 different file formats and in more than 100 languages. Both products use the same interface used for conducting Google searches on the Internet,, making it familiar and easy to use.

"Partners are making an increasing contribution to the Google Enterprise business in EMEA and extending our relationship with Ingram Micro increases the scale and reach of our channel network, said Peter Lorant, head of Enterprise partners, Google EMEA. "We now have over 10,000 search customers globally and having access to Ingram Micro's large reseller base means we can bring the power of Google search that millions of consumers benefit from to many more businesses across EMEA."

As part of the alliance, Ingram Micro will provide Google with key competencies of sales, reseller credit, marketing, technical support and logistics to reach target markets in a cost-effective manner. Ingram Micro is also creating a comprehensive reseller recruitment plan in select regions to identify, recruit and train suitable reseller partners to sell both products, and provide technical support after the sale.
