Concentric has announced general availability of Microsoft SQL (MS-SQL) Server for the Concentric Windows hosting platform. MS-SQL Server is the next-generation data management and analysis solution from Microsoft that delivers increased scalability, security and availability for enterprise data. MS-SQL Server makes it easier for organizations to create, deploy and manage analytical applications.
MS-SQL Server is a complete database platform providing enterprise-class data management that enables customers to build secure, highly available and sophisticated ASP.NET web applications. MS-SQL Server enables developers to be more productive and deliver new applications more quickly.

The addition of Microsoft's premium database completes Concentric's Windows .NET hosting platform capabilities, greatly expanding the variety of applications available for use including leading applications like Community Server and Various ASP.NET starter kits. Due to security reasons, Concentric does not currently support direct access to the MS SQL Server but instead offers fully functional secure Web-based administrative tools to assist in the development and creation process.
Concentric Windows Pro and Enterprise Plans (WinProfessional and WinEnterprise) include the MS-SQL Server 2005. Users benefit from e-commerce and web applications to build state-of-the-art web sites and incorporate popular business applications.

Pricing and Availability
MS-SQL Server 2005 is now available through Concentric's WinProfessional and WinEnterprise hosting plans. Customers using the WinProfessional hosted plan receive up to two database instances and 100MB of total data storage, while the WinEnterprise customers receive up to four database instances and up to 200MB of total data storage. Additional storage is available to customers for an add-on fee.
