The Room Place at Harlem Furniture, a 20-store furniture retailer headquartered in Lombard, Illinois, is implementing Retail Enterprise Suite from global information technology services company, Episys, to improve the efficiency of its signage and boost growth.
With the implementation of the Retail Enterprise Suite, The Room Place at Harlem Furniture will be able to migrate to an integrated system optimising the management of signage information from a single integrated solution. As part of the implementation, The Room Place at Harlem Furniture will move to in-store printing of signage using color laser printers. With this move, signage will no longer be printed at its Headquarters in Lombard, which is costly, and is prone to delay and errors.
Episys conducted a Retail Efficiency survey on behalf of The Room Place at Harlem Furniture, delivering recommendations on how The Room Place at Harlem Furniture could operate more efficiently, which included process change, hardware selection, consumables and the deployment of Retail Enterprise Suite.
Valerie Berman, Marketing Manager at The Room Place at Harlem Furniture said, We selected Episys as they had demonstrated their capability working with some of the worlds largest retailers in the US and Europe. We felt that with the nature of this project it was important that we had a strong team in place to implement it, and felt confident that Episys would be able to deliver the system efficiently and effectively. Our first goal is to print locally in-store, but moving forward were looking to integrate the web tool to incorporate content and pricing. The new solution will streamline communications for point of purchase at all our stores all promotional activity can be driven from one central point and co-ordinated much more easily, which will support our expanding business.
Peter Lewis, Vice President of Marketing at Episys said, The Room Place at Harlem Furniture is an excellent example of a successful, growing business which recognizes the importance of optimizing their signage operations to maximise the benefits of reduced costs, increased efficiency, enhanced customer service and sales uplift by implementing a signage system that integrates with their back office systems to enable signage to be delivered automatically in the right format, in the right size in the right quantity to the right store in the right order on the right day showing the right price.
Episys has made a significant impact in the US because of its ability to help retailers to boost sales from promotions by integrating both physical and digital merchandising signage, as well as cut expenditure currently lost through duplicated, inaccurate and inconsistent processes.
