BEA Systems, Inc., a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, has launched a new channel partner programme in Europe and the appointment of Magirus, a leading European IT solution provider, as its first Value Added Distributor (VAD) in Europe.
The new two-tier Value-Added Reseller (VAR) Programavailable initially in Central Europe, Italy and the U.K.will enable BEA to capitalise on growing demand for its enterprise infrastructure solutions and extend Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) market expansion throughout Europe.
The BEA VAR programme is an exciting new joint sales initiative designed to generate new business and maximise sales in a previously unexploited market sector, says Valerie Singer, Senior Director of Channels, EMEA, BEA Systems. BEA is proud to partner with Magirus, a successful distributor with a proven track record in the sale and implementation of leading-edge infrastructure software solutions. By helping BEA to recruit VARs to resell its products, Magirus will be instrumental in helping BEA expand aggressively into new market segments and coverage models.
In addition to offering coverage in BEAs core markets, the two-tier distribution model will extend BEAs sales reach into the lucrative upper mid-market sector (defined as organisations with between 1,000-2,500 employees). A recent BEA Partner Outlook survey revealed this upper mid-market segment as offering significant opportunities in Portal Solutions, Business Integration, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and Application Servers. BEA has recently signed an agreement with its first EMEA VADMagirusto distribute its products in UK, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland with other territories to follow during 2008.
