ZyXEL Communications UK Ltd (ZyXEL) has launched its Retail Independent Programme for 2008 with the aim of helping the UKs independent technology retailers stay competitive.
This new programme will offer tailored support and benefits to independent high street retailers. It will help them close sales opportunities by providing access to the right tools and information, rather than pushing them to the Internet to research products. The programme will support niche independent retailers who service both the SoHo (Small Office Home Office) and the consumer market particularly the early adopters of technology.
The programme follows market research conducted by ZyXEL that highlighted a clear need from independent retailers for a more tailored partner programme approach to help them increase revenues. Key research findings were a need for detailed product data and solution sheets, exclusive high street promotions and PoS (Point of Sale) materials.

A constant stream of new technologies and more technically competent consumers means retailers must keep up to date with the newest technology to offer better customer service in an increasingly competitive market. Vendors need to help high street retailers maximise every opportunity to sell. Technology concepts like the digital home network are relatively new to most consumers and we need to provide retailers with the right support to help them advise consumers on buying the best solution.
ZyXEL retail partners will also have access to ZySpace, a free online portal that gives them access to sales tools, product guides, training information, current marketing campaigns and to order PoS material. Authorised retailers will also receive access to regular ZyXEL product updates, development roadmaps, an authorised retailer logo and product discount.
Independent Retailers can register for the programme by visiting www.zyxel.co.uk/retail. Once registered they will receive a welcome pack that includes all the material that they need to sell ZyXEL products with confidence, including product brochures, window stickers and posters.
