Aladdin doubles UK channel presence following strong global demand for content security

Aladdin Knowledge Systems Ltd., a leader in Software DRM, USB-based authentication, and secure Web gateways, has grown its UK channel to 12 active partners over the last quarter as part of a programme to increase its prominence in the UK market.

The growth follows increased demand for its products and services in the UK and mirrors strong global sales, with revenues for the second quarter of 2007 at a record $25.5 million, an increase of 22 percent from the $20.9 million reported for the same period in 2006. The year has also seen industry recognition and evaluation for Aladdin, including a Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Innovation and placement in the visionaries quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateway, 2007/ID Number: G00148895 (by Peter Firstbrook, Lawrence Orans, Arabella Hallawell, published 4 June 2007).

The key for us in the UK is to create an active channel that is small enough for us to support with high value assistance while large enough to provide coverage for a sustainable and growing end-user base comments Mark Kacary, Sales Director - Enterprise Security UK. Our channel roster has grown over the last few months through the addition of key partners who see us as a competitive advantage and not just volume in a market that is saturated by hard to differentiate products.

The roster of new partners includes ONI Plc, a focused convergence solutions provider specialising in integrated voice, data and video solutions. Another new partner is Armadillo Managed Services Ltd, one of the UKs leading mobile enterprise security consultancies.

Our strategy is to offer partner status to companies that serve a particular growing niche, such as convergence, mobility, security as managed services and several other key emerging markets, and work alongside them to help generate new business, explains Kacary.

To support channel growth, Aladdin offers an ongoing programme of free technical workshops every 6 to 8 weeks on both its eSafe and eToken product lines, which covers new products, feature upgrades, integration examples and sales and marketing techniques. Partners seeking to enhance accreditation can also attend the quarterly training and certification courses and have access to online resources.

There are still areas where we are looking for partners, especially with the recent surge in demand for smart tokens and the never-ending stream of Internet threats, which offers a lot of untapped opportunities for both Aladdin and its channel partners, Kacary adds.
