IRISPdf is an advanced OCR server solution that allows users to structure, index and convert volumes of scanned documents into electronic data and to supply any document management system with the appropriate file format. The system is designed as a server and works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

iHQC technology included!:

Until now, to get the best archiving size and save storage space, companies were choosing Black&White scanning instead of color. Indeed, for the same resolution, there is a huge difference between the size of an image file (compressed in jpeg or jpeg 2000) scanned in color and the size of an image file scanned in black and white (compressed in Tiff group 4).

However with iHQC, I.R.I.S.s new compression technology, it is now possible to create highly-compressed and fully-searchable PDF files in color with a smaller file size than the Black&White compressed images. That means that important information brought by color can now be preserved and will no longer be lost. You get a very small, color PDF file from your document image without losing visual quality and text legibility. In addition, the PDF files generated can be read by any Acrobat Reader and are fully searchable thanks to the OCR process applied during the conversion.

The new version of IRISPdf Server 6.0, combined with the iHQC add-on, contains easy-to-control parameters allowing the user to choose the best compromise between quality and size depending on the application.

I.R.I.S. intelligent High Quality Compression technology is designed to convert standard color images into highly-compressed PDF files with searchable text while maintaining the same image quality. Your PDF files will only be a fraction of their original size even with the searchable text.
iHQC basic compression level, called Level 1 Good Quality, is included in IRISPdf Server 6.0 but you can also enjoy the best compression levels of the iHQC in limited volumes (1000 documents/year). To process larger volumes of documents with iHQC best compression levels, the iHQC add-on must be installed. As the iHQC technology is sold as an add-on, prices are based on the volumes of documents you want to process with this new technology (an unlimited version also exists).

NEW! multi-CPU Add-On
IRISPdf Server 6.0 spreads the workload across the dual/quadri cores of your CPU(s) to make the best use of your computer or server resources. With this new add-on, multiple tasks and conversion of important volumes of documents can be achieved much more quickly. IRISPdf Server 6.0 can process more than 20,000 documents a day but with the new multi-CPU add-on, you can process up to 35,000 documents a day on a dual core CPU and up to 60,000 documents on a quadri-core CPU!

NEW! Output formats

IRISPdf Server 6.0 can simultaneously generate fully searchable PDF and signed PDF files, DOC, RTF, TXT, HTML, WordML & XML files from one source document or image.

With IRISPdf Server 6.0, the number of output formats has been extended and it is now also possible to generate:

• PDF/A files: Stricter than a regular PDF, this is the ideal PDF format for long-term archiving
• PDF Security Method: apply restrictions to protect your PDF or PDF-iHQC documents or to give specific rights (print, modify, etc.) to different users
• OpenDocument Text (.odt) files: OpenDocument Text is a fully-documented open format based on XML. It can be read into OpenOffice and StarOffice.

Barcode recognition            
Barcode reading is available and can be used as a specific feature to configure document naming and document separation according to the bar codes values.

Watched Folder             
IRISPdf Watched Folder mode has been designed to process large volumes of documents automatically, 24/7. You can create several watched folders and each will contain different settings to meet your needs according to the different kind of documents you are processing. Just configure your scanner to drop your files in the appropriate watched folder and IRISPdf Server will initiate the recognition of the new documents with the pre-configured settings of this watched folder and export the output file directly in the pre-established format(s) and to the right place.

Extensive language support           
The number of languages recognized by IRISPdf Server 6.0 is impressive and growing with each version. It supports more than 120 languages with add-ons for Hebrew, 4 Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese) and Arabic! Moreover, IRISPdf can recognize up to 5 different languages on the same document.
