Mobile data collection specialist Barcoding.co.uk has added a range of rugged tablet PC's to its portfolio of industrial-grade handheld computers.  Manufactured in Sweden the JTL devices include the range-topping JTL 8403, a rugged Windows XP field tablet PC with an 8.4 inch colour screen and in-built wireless communication options.

Compact and lightweight, the aluminium constructed JLT 8403 is IP-65 water and dust proof. The large touch screen also makes the device ideal for hostile conditions where keyboard use is not practical.  Uses include store and warehouse stock control, safety inspections, service maintenance and logistics.

The JTL tablet PC's are also suited for in-vehicle applications and Barcoding.co.uk offers a range of in-cab docking stations to secure the PC and add connectivity; enabling the addition of mobile communications, messaging and navigation.  Bluetooth barcode readers can meanwhile be added for automated data entry.

The JLT 8403 is supplied with either a hard disk featuring Windows XP Pro or a flash disk with embedded Windows XP for added reliability and robustness.  Barcoding.co.uk is also offering other JLT rugged mobile computers adding to an extensive range of barcoding, data collection and wireless communication equipment.

Based in Barnard Castle, County Durham, Barcoding.co.uk was established in 1996 and previously known as Castle Auto ID.    Specialising in the provision of end-to-end solutions, Barcoding.co.uk supplies to an extensive blue chip client base including Avery Dennison, Corus, Eagle Star, Procter & Gamble, St. Gobain and Grattans.
