Success in UK encourages 3M to roll-out digital signage business across Europe, leveraging 3Ms existing offices in most European countries

3M United Kingdom plc today announced the appointment of Brad Pianta-McGill (pictured) as European Business Development Manager for its Digital Signage business. Brads remit is to build on the considerable success and market growth achieved by the Digital Signage business in UK through strategic focus on customers, resellers and projects Europe-wide.

Brads appointment signifies an exciting stage in the expansion of our digital signage business, commented Simon Birkenhead, Sales & Marketing Manager, 3M Digital Signage & Optical Systems Division. Since launching our Digital Signage business in the UK six months ago we have seen considerable sales success for our content management software as well as innovative Vikuiti rear-projection technologies by 3M. Brads role has become a necessity to manage all the interest we are receiving across Europe. We already have active projects in many countries outside of the UK and Ireland and we anticipate an escalation in activity as we officially launch the business across our numerous European offices.

3M has a significant European presence and Brads objective is to leverage the companys local sales and marketing resources in each country, and its existing customer relationships across more than 40 business units, for the rapid development of the digital signage business. Based in Bracknell, Berkshire, Brad will work closely with these local offices, training 3M account management teams, undertaking joint customer visits with local 3M staff, recruiting strong reseller channels and the developing digital signage proposals.

Brad brings with him a unique blend of technical and practical expertise in digital signage, retail PoS solutions, business TV and internal communications, e-learning, kiosk applications and content distribution. He joins 3M after six years working as an independent consultant for several blue chip companies in Europe, USA and Asia Pacific, specialising in the effective use of new technology and media to implement change.

During his career, Brad has worked for Helius Inc, Convergent Media, BT and GlobeCast. His background in both business and product development for IP solutions, corporate communications and the wider technology industry means he is ideally placed to drive 3Ms Digital Signage business forward in Europe. Brad holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies Marketing and a Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Diploma.
