Paul Berry, former Executive Director of Compel Plc and Managing Director of Compelsolve Ltd., has joined Promethean in the newly created role of Director of UK Business.
Paul joined the company on 4th September and has immediate overall responsibility for Prometheans UK Sales and Marketing, both direct and through the channel partners managed by Promethean AV. The aim of Pauls role is to develop a more integrated approach to the UK market as a whole in order to strengthen Prometheans presence in this area. He has a proven track record of building and transforming business revenues to increase customer value and retention.
In previous roles my aim has been to deliver higher value, more integrated solutions, using a blend of organic and acquisitive actions, comments Paul. Through this past experience and success I hope to achieve outstanding results for Prometheans sales and drive forward Prometheans position in the UK.
During his 9 years at Compel, Paul was responsible for architecting and delivering the necessary changes to evolve Compelsolve from a hardware reseller into a solutions integrator. Following a partnership with Oracle, Compelsolve won 18 major awards in a six year period including the prestigious Partner of the Year six years running. During this time average sales gross margins increased 50% and consultancy/services revenue grew from 2 million to over 23 million.
Prior to this role, Paul held a variety of sales and marketing posts including National Sales Manager for the PC division of Bull IS, Worldwide Marketing Head for GKN Vandervell and Brand Management at Unipart.

Paul holds a Special Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Hull, and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
