Mobile Office 2006 trade show - keep in touch with the top players

The Mobile Office trade show - the leading European event dedicated to mobile solutions and remote access to information and the technologies that underpin them - will take place from 5 to 7 December 2006 at the Palais des Congrs in Paris. The event will welcome 7,500 visitors and 200 exhibitors, including Microsoft(r), IBM and Orange.

The Mobile Office trade show, which was launched in 2001, brings together the major players in mobile technology, including Microsoft, IBM, Thals, PsionTeklogix, Masternaut, Unilog Management, Orange, SFR and Bouygues Tlcom. The sixth annual event follows the same format that has ensured its success in the past - all forms of nomadism will be centre stage, such as wireless networks, mobile navigation, data synchronisation, geolocation and mobile marketing.

There will be 200 exhibitors, 7,500 visitors, 18 conferences and 20 Expert Rendez-vous workshops across a space of 8,000m2. Additionally, there will be specific events for visitors and international exhibitors, with an emphasis on links with pan-European events, which are all designed to make Mobile Office a truly international trade show.

For the 2006 event, foreign companies without distributors in France will be able to subscribe to the Channel programme. This promotes meetings between manufacturers and distributors. Various strategies such as targeted mail shots, reminders, press releases and VIP status will be put in place to attract high-level local distributors and put them in contact with international publishers and manufacturers.

The Mobile Office trade show is organised around 11 thematic routes enabling visitors to rapidly identify, on the floor plan, which exhibitors they want to see. For example, the Networks & Wireless Connections route highlights high-speed wireless and WLAN solutions. Mobile Office was the first cross-disciplinary trade show to promote this technology, with a hot-spot at its first event.

The Road Mobile Office route provides solutions for transporters, fleet managers and managers of roving teams looking for smart vehicles, which are fitted with technologies such as on-board terminals and accessories, mapping, geolocation, GPS navigation, fleet management, security, voice recognition, itinerary calculation, and so on. Year on year, mobile office is at the cutting-edge of innovation in on-board communication systems.

The Mobile Resources Traceability route covers identification, data acquisition, automated management, RFID, RFDC, marking and labelling. The Mobile Marketing route provides a full overview of services and mobile marketing content, delivered either through voice and data mobile terminals (SMS, Interactive Voice Servers, operator service and content bouquets for PDA and smartphones), or through mobile marketing solutions and applications (SMS, SMS+, MMS, EMS campaigns, Audiotel, games, quizzes, voting, chat, polling, geolocation, micro-payment, m-commerce and cell-broadcast).

Finally, Mobile Office 2006 will hold the 4th Mobility Trophies where seven awards for excellence will be presented to companies for the quality of the solutions deployed. Mobile Office will also hold Mobile Monday - the leading international event for high-level networking for mobility professionals.

The Mobile Office trade show will be held at the Palais des Congrs in Paris (France) from 5 to 7 December 2006.
