Datalogic has extended its Gryphon series of instinctive hand held readers with the launch of a long range model, the Gryphon D130 LR.

This reader is designed for applications with a longer scanning distance, such as document handling and point of sale applications, eliminating the need to pick up items to bring them close enough to read the bar code.

Equipped with a new optical module of linear imager that provides a longer reading distance, the Gryphon long range model reaches up to 43cm on all UPC/EAN bar codes, which is comparable to the best laser scanners on the market.

The Gryphon D130 LR comes with three different connectivity interfaces in a single model: USB, RS232 and Wedge emulation.   It also features the Datalogic patented green spot for that gives the user visible  good read feedback.

Rugged and reliable, the Gryphon D130 LR is made of top performing materials and reliable components and can resist to multiple 1.8m drops on concrete giving it unmatched durability.  This is supported by a 5 year warranty.

The long range model is available in a choice of two colours: dark grey or white, to respond to different application needs.
