Futur@ signs first NCR RealPOS 30 order with Conran Shops
NCR Corporation today announced that it has appointed Futur@, a leading non-food provider of complete retail Management Solutions as a global reseller of NCR RealPOS hardware and services. Operating on a preferred supplier basis, NCR will provide NCR Point of Sale, thermal printers and bar code scanner technology to Futur@'s customers in over ten countries including Australia, Germany, the Middle East, Spain and the UK.
Futur@, a Gold Level member of the NCR RealPartner programme, has been reselling NCR RealPOS terminals and services in Australia for the last five years and due to its success has decided to extend the relationship internationally.
Ian Royall, Futur@'s Managing Director said, In the 14 years that Futur@ has worked in the retail space we have trialled POS hardware from many different vendors. In my experience NCR POS technology is by far the best. Futur@ is delighted to be able to offer NCRs high quality, robust technology and services to our 60,000 retail software users.
Within a few weeks of the partnership extension, Futur@ had sold RealPOS 30 tills to the Conran Shop, the designer homeware store, at its London stores in Chelsea and Marylebone. The NCR RealPOS 30 is a compact, robust and upgradeable POS solution, supporting Windows or LINUX-based applications and a wide range of peripherals. Rigorous shock, vibration, heat and humidity testing ensures it has an extended lifetime. In addition, to maximise data security, a key is required to access the power switch and storage media.
Conran finance director Jacqueline Russell commented, We have a close relationship with Futur@ and we value their hardware recommendations.
As a Gold Level NCR RealPartner, Futur@ will benefit from NCRs Quick Ship programme, an online ordering and tracking service that guarantees a delivery time of two weeks. Futur@ also has access to a range of marketing support and product education facilities including the online NCR University, which provides advanced sales and product training, and the NCR Solution Proving Lab for application software testing.
Alberto Camuri, NCRs vice president for Retail Solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa said, I have been very impressed by the calibre of companies such as Futur@ that are joining NCRs RealPartner Programme. Our partner programme grew by 40 per cent in 2005, largely due the popularity and solid performance of our technology, including the RealPOS 20 and 30 terminals.
