New partnership provides added dimension, producing data capture solutions by wizardry!

Cipherlab, global leaders in the manufacture of CCD and Linear Imager hand held barcode scanners, recently announced that they have formed a new partnership with Redditch based software development company Trakware.

The partnership will mean Cipherlabs complete range of hand held devices, including the flagship 9500 series and the entry level 8071 series, will come with the option of having Trakwares premier product, Active Studio incorporated. 

The Active Studio software development tool quickly and easily loads onto a PC and gives resellers the ability to interactively design their own tailor-made portable data capture programme using Applications Wizards. With a few on-screen prompts, the software guides users through the creation of standard applications such as Proof of Delivery or Stock Take, using a simulator that mimics the chosen device with a true look and feel.

Applications can be created in minutes and are easily modified, saving both time and money. In turn, the new tailor-made programme can be simply downloaded onto the hand held device, which is then immediately ready to use, the wizard having taken the hard work out of the development.

A further feature of the Active Studio development tool is that it contains a fully capable script language, which allows developers that are skilled in this field, to write their own individual programmes or enhance the programmes created by the wizard.

The new software, combined with a Cipherlab portable terminal, gives users a powerful development tool, which provides a solution that can be used in a broad range of applications including retail, logistics, merchandising and stock control, So that they dont just buy a piece of equipment but a route to a complete solution.
