An array of innovations and new functional features offering more availability and flexibility with an optimized Total Cost of Ownership

MGE UPS SYSTEMS, a world leader in high-availability power solutions, is launching Pulsar, Pulsar M and Pulsar MX from 700 VA to 20 kVA, three new latest-generation rackable single-phase UPSs for the protection of IT applications and network infrastructure.

Jason Koffler UK Channel Sales Manager says "The new ranges feature the ModularEasy system, a brand new technology for dynamic management of the paralleling and power extension of single-phase UPSs, as of 2 kVA. This major technological improvement completes an assortment of new features such as a Hot Swap function throughout the range or increased manageability, designed to guarantee the greatest flexibility and availability with a minimum cost of ownership"

Total upgrading capability with no added initial cost
Up to now, the acquisition cost of an upgradeable UPS was about 2.5 times the price of a single unit UPS. To avoid adding extra cost to IT Managers' initial budgets, the Pulsar M and Pulsar MX upgradeable UPSs are sold for the same price as single units UPSs. Users can add the ModularEasy paralleling kit at any time and upgrade to redundancy and power extension solutions simply and at the lowest cost.
On the Pulsar MX UPS, the plug-and-play "MX Frame" can be used to upgrade from 5 to 20 kVA.

Dynamic management of power extension and redundancy to make the most of UPS capacity
When the UPS + ModularEasy are paralleled, the assembly automatically manages optimal application availability by switching, according to load changes, to power extension or redundancy mode.
This means that the remaining UPS power, sometimes underused by the protected equipment due to overrating, can be utilized to provide redundancy for backup. With the supervision solutions offered, administrators are instantly informed of all operating mode modifications. They can even program the sequenced shutdown of servers for each mode to ensure data integrity in all circumstances.

Delivered with the latest versions of management and supervision solutions
MGE UPS SYSTEMS offers its three Pulsar, Pulsar M and Pulsar MX ranges with the new versions of its server power supply supervision solution, Entreprise Power Management V2 (EPM V2) and automatic server protection solution, Network Shutdown Module V3 (NSM V3).
> EPM V2 provides global supervision of the entire installed UPS base, including complex configurations such as redundant UPSs, servers with redundant power supplies, etc.
> NSM V3 manages the sequenced shutdown of servers protected by several redundant power supply sources.

"Hot Swap" function from 700 VA to 20 kVA
On all the models, maintenance or upgrading operations requiring replacement of the UPS can be carried out without interrupting the power supply of the connected equipment, thanks to integrated or optional bypass solutions.
On the Pulsar and Pulsar M models, unlike the existing "proprietary" solutions, the "HotSwap MBP" unit connection system allows a UPS to be replaced by another model or rating, ensuring continuous power supply even during maintenance or updating operations.

The new Pulsar, Pulsar M and Pulsar MX ranges replace the Pulsar EXtreme C, Pulsar EXtreme and Comet Extreme ranges
