Fujitsu Europe Ltd has announced a new partnership with Computer 2000, part of the Tech Data Group. Computer 2000 will become a distributor of its market-leading document management products.

The deal with Fujitsu Europe follows a similar partnership between Tech Data Inc. and Fujitsu Computer Products of America (FCPA), as its largest imaging distributor. Fujitsu hopes to leverage knowledge gained in the US to increase its market share in the UK and across Europe.

Computer 2000 is the UKs largest trade only distributor of IT products and services and Tech Data is the largest broadline distributor in Europe. Fujitsu hopes that the partnership will reinforce its current position as the number one vendor of document scanners in Europe by taking its products into previously untapped markets.

In addition to scanner sales, Fujitsu will also work with Computer 2000s, enterprise networking division, Azlan, to develop scalable document management (DM) solutions that incorporate sophisticated networking and storage technologies. These offerings will meet increasing demand from companies for highly evolved data capture and DM systems.

Mike Nelson, General Manager-Sales Operations, Fujitsu Europe (pictured left) comments: We are delighted to announce Computer 2000 as our new distributor. We are committed to maintaining our position as market leader and building upon our 52% market share. Were confident Computer 2000s expertise in broadline distribution and existing experience in document scanners will help us to achieve this.

Simon Aldous, Director, Volume Marketing at Computer 2000 (pictured right) comments: We are pleased to add Fujitsu Europe to our vendor portfolio. We have seen increasing demand for document management and are delighted to offer Fujitsu products to meet this need.
