IA06: Unique UK Government Security Event Announced

UK GOVERNMENT security experts have announced plans to host a major symposium on Information Assurance in June.

Led by CESG - the National Technical Authority for Information Assurance - the event is aiming to create a high-level discussion forum for experts in the field.

IA06 - running from June 26 to 28 in Brighton - will focus on the new risks and challenges of keeping information secure. Whilst aimed largely at the public sector, the event will feature an exhibition and will be backed by a number of major commercial sponsors.

CESG is working with the Central Sponsor for Information Assurance and the National Infrastructure Security Co-ordination Centre to deliver the authoritative government event on Information Assurance.

CESG's Head of Customer Services, Craig Pollard, commented: "We have been exhibiting at a number of information security events for many years. We feel that there is a perceived need for people in our field to come together to share knowledge and expertise."

The event will feature speakers both from the Government and senior civil servants as well as military and enterprise experts. There are also plans for a gala dinner and CESG's Information Assurance industry event will be held on the third day of the event.
