Retail Solutions, the leading technology exhibition for the UKs fast moving retail sector, takes place at the NEC from the 6th 8th June 2006. Now in its 26th year, the event provides an essential platform for retailers to meet leading suppliers, see the latest products and hear about issues, while networking with their industry colleagues.  Retail Solutions is the largest event of its kind in Europe and is firmly established as the retail industrys principal exhibition, incorporating all of the latest ground-breaking technologies, interactive features, issue-led seminars, high profile speakers and cutting edge content.

More than 250 leading solution providers will be exhibiting products and services available to the retail industry, including the very latest in EPOS systems, RFID, business intelligence software, fraud and security systems, wireless technology, workforce management, digital merchandising and mobile payment solutions, as well as other state-of-the-art solutions, many of which will have their first viewing in the UK.

Over 65% of exhibition space has been sold. Exhibitors include: Brother, BT Expedite, Dione  Fujitsu, IBM, Logic Group, NCR, Panasonic, PCMS, K3 Landsteinar and Wincor Nixdorf.

Retail Solutions offers an extensive, free seminar programme which is available across two seminar theatres, featuring case studies and Q&A sessions from retailers and vendors with first hand experience. The seminars will tackle the key issues facing retailers today including RFID, gift cards, wireless communications, loss prevention, electronic shelf labelling, mobile computing, self check out and CRM.  Speakers at seminar theatre one will include: Jonathan Yelland, Programme Manager of Self-Service Solutions for Tesco, Kevin Abbott, Head of IT at The Body Shop and a spokesperson from Mid-Counties Co-op who is set to detail the companys recent introduction of a store-based POS printing solution net.tickIT. The seminars are specifically designed to address business related issues and the benefits of the implementation of technology and solutions. The case study content is also an excellent means of presenting your company as the industry expert.

Seminar theatre two is set to feature high-profile keynote speakers who will share their experiences on all aspects of retail industry, including non-technology associated issues and overviews. The Retail Week Business Track seminar theatre will return and build on the success of its launch in 2005. It has previously attracted keynote speakers from the UK, Europe and America, including speakers from Macys and Bloomingdales, Saks 5th avenue and Hoeft and Wessel AG Germany, to name but a few.

The Retail Solutions seminars are always popular and well attended by the industry, and in past years have proved one of the largest visitor draws. Seminar opportunities are available exclusively to exhibitors and are selected based on content and relevance to retailers.

The European Retail Solutions Awards will take place on the evening of the 6th June in the neighbouring Hilton Metropole Hotel. In 2005 the awards were attended by more than 730 retail IT executives and vendors from the retail, leisure and food services from across Europe. The awards celebrate retailers and suppliers successful use of technology that has driven their businesses forward and recognises some of Europes most progressive companies. There are 14 categories to be awarded including the European Retail Solution of the year award and Best IT Retail Professional Award. The awards shortlist will be announced in May.
