Promethean AV Distribution has expanded its product portfolio to include the new Sharp XR multimedia projector range. With four projectors in the series (the XR-10S, XR-10X, XR-20S and the XR-20X), collectively they offer a wide variety of specifications and extended key features.

Responding to the ever-growing demand for cross-over applications, this entry level series is ideal for use in education, business, and home entertainment. It encompasses all the benefits of cutting-edge Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology: high brightness, high contrast, and long-lasting picture quality, to deliver exceptional image projection.

The XR range also provides exceptional high resolution imagery. Each model features an image processing conversion facility by TrueVision, superb dust resistance via sealed optics, and an eco mode facility which reduces the fan noise. In addition, the eco mode can reduce the projector's brightness when used with an interactive whiteboard. This can prolong the lamp life by up to 1,000 hours.

Although each model looks identical, they vary between the standard SVGA resolution (in the S range) and the more sophisticated XGA resolution (in the X range). The XR-10 series has a projector brightness of 2000 ANSI lumens, whereas the XR-20 series has 2300 ANSI lumens.

Commenting on the new additions to their product offering, Steve Dracup, managing director of Promethean AV Distribution said, "All projectors in the XR range are superbly equipped, lightweight and versatile. They all offer exceptionally high image quality, performance and style, which in turn adds real value to the end user."

Distributing through a nationwide network of accredited resellers, Promethean AV's portfolio includes the Activ and Presenta range of interactive presentation and training products. To complement this range, Promethean AV also provides digital projectors and LCD displays from market leaders Sharp and Sanyo, and the Samsung range of digital presenters.
