Promethean AV Gears Up for Sales Recruitment Drive

Interactive whiteboard distributor, Promethean AV Distribution, has launched its 2006 channel campaign with the creation of a number of new internal and external sales roles at the company. 14 new recruits have been taken on, bringing the team headcount from 25 to 39.

The new positions include external sales personnel, who will provide additional channel support in the field. This latest recruitment drive underlines the company's commitment to providing proactive customer relations and face-to-face account management.

It is also designed to support the distributor's expansion plans for 2006, and enable it to outstrip the 30% growth performance achieved in 2005.

The company, which won AV Magazine's Distributor of the Year accolade in 2005, has increasingly invested in support and marketing resources for the channel and expects another big year in 2006.

Managing director, Steve Dracup, explained: "The company has grown rapidly in recent years, and the launch of new solutions such as audience response systems and rear projection means we expect this trend to continue, particularly as interactive presentation solutions begin to penetrate new markets beyond education."

The Promethean Technologies Group's estimated turnover for 2005 is in excess of 80 million worldwide. UK channel sales account for nearly a fifth of this figure.
