ONSTOR AND ASIGRA ANNOUNCE COMPLIANCE PACKAGE FOR REMOTE BACKUP AND RECOVERY

ONStor Inc., the leader in Enterprise NAS Gateway solutions, and Asigra , the technology specialist in agentless distributed backup and recovery software for network computing, have recently announced a partnership to provide a turnkey compliance package for enterprise backup and recovery that simplifies and consolidates remote site data protection.

The combination of ONStors Bobcat Series Enterprise NAS gateways and Asigras Televaulting for Enterprises agentless software enables organisations to easily address their compliance and data protection issues across multiple sites by consolidating and then sending the compressed backup data to a centralised location. There is no limit on the number of servers, desktops and laptops that can be protected since the agentless system is based on a compressed capacity pricing model versus a unit license-based model, ensuring all systems on the network are protected in the event of data loss. AES 256-bit encryption of backup data in-flight and at-rest prevents unauthorised access to corporate information as required by compliance regulations.

Unlike conventional data centre backup software, Asigras Televaulting software is optimised for multi-site backup and recovery. By addressing the backup pain points common to remote offices and leveraging the scalable performance and management simplicity of ONStors high-throughput NAS Gateways, which provide a centralised data vault, the ONStor- Asigra solution delivers true regulatory compliance. The combination also reduces hardware and software costs for enterprises that are dependent on NAS technology for remote site storage.
