Business Computer Projects (BCP) and Avery Berkel have formed a partnership to launch what they claim to be the UKs first fully integrated point of sale (PoS) and weighing solution on a single item of hardware.
Called Accord-WeighPoS, it combines BCPs Accord-Retailer software with the Avery Berkel MP series scales. This first one-box system provides a cost effective, small footprint weighing and PoS solution for food retailers.
With modern touch screen technology and links to a wide range of peripherals, including cash drawer, printer and scanner, Accord-WeighPoS allows food retailers to improve customer service, speed up checkout operations, reduce costs and free up valuable counter space for merchandising or other counter services.
The touch screen operation is simple to use with clear user prompts. Operators select the item to be weighed, either by product group, by the first letters of description or by PLU. Best seller keys for the fastest moving lines can be included. Accord-WeighPoS will also print labels and receipts.
Other benefits include reduced shrinkage; improved staff efficiency, security, supervisory and cash control; accurate pricing and full back office, head office and distribution options for retailers requiring them. The solution also offers a rapid return on investment and is available for purchase or lease/rental for retailers preferring to spread the cost of investment.
