EXTECH DATA SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES PRODUCT SAFETY CERTIFICATION FOR S4500THS and S4000T

Extech Data Systems announces that its new 4 portable, battery operated thermal printer comply with internationally accepted Product Safety standards. This compliance is additional to those required for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and for Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing (commonly referred to as EMC immunity testing).

The recently introduced S4500THS and S4000T portable receipt printers:
- Conform to ANSI/UL STD 60950,
- Are certified to CAN/CSA STD C22.2 No. 60950-00,
- Comply with IEC 60950:1999
- Are ETL listed (a designation similar to UL listing)
- Are CB Certified after testing to be in conformity with IEC 60950-1(ed.1)
