CONNECTs PowerNet Twin Client software program is a powerful emulator supporting every major RF terminal manufacturer and model. One tool works for any RF choice. Twin Clients MDM (Mobile Device Manager) is a leading-edge tool for keeping an RF environment running efficiently.
New Features for MDM (Mobile Device Manager):
Two new features for the MDM, both of which are designed to make tracking and controlling hand held terminals easier for the user. A User Identifier option allows companies to track the person who last used a terminal. A Find feature allows the network manager to wake-up any terminal and beep the device, so it can be located within the warehouse or store.
1) User Identifier
The Twin Client Manager now has a box to click if the user would like to track the person using the terminal. When the box is clicked, the operator has to enter a log-in code and the terminal becomes associated with that person. Should the terminal be lost, it is possible to identify the last person that used the terminal, assisting in keeping control over the moving asset nature of hand-held terminals.
2) Find Feature
If a terminal is lost, the network manager can remotely wake the terminal up and cause it to make audible beeps so that it can be located. This feature will be available on all new terminals.
Both of these features will be included with Connect's MDM option. MDM is a powerful tool set which includes AirLoader, the over-the-air update tool, Screen Watcher, Terminal Messenger, and RF Monitor, a world class diagnostic tool.
Additional new features:
Also added are a connectivity icon to our Windows-based terminal clients for Pocket PC 2003 and later, and Windows CE 4.2 and later O/S, allowing operators to tell if they have a solid connection to the host and a battery icon so an operator can tell if there is adequate battery life left in the terminal.
These helpful images will make running an application much more stable.
The PowerNet Product Line includes PowerNet Twin Client, OpenAir Linux, OpenAir Windows, OpenAir 400, Web Client, DataLink, AirLink.
