SonicWALL Integrates High Speed Threat Protection and Flexible Connectivity in Powerful, Scalable Platform

Todays announcement allows us to provide comprehensive, trusted network security protection at gigabit speeds to mid-sized and enterprise level networks, said Mike Smart, director of European product marketing. The inclusion of enterprise-class Quality of Service (QoS) functionality is especially important for emerging applications such as Voice over IP.

The new device integrates high-speed gateway anti-virus, anti-spyware, intrusion prevention, anti-spam, anti-phishing, Clean VPN and content filtering on a single platform.  SonicWALLs Clean VPN architecture decontaminates mobile user connections and branch office traffic to prevent vulnerabilities and malicious code from being propagated.

With 10 configurable gigabit Ethernet interfaces and built-in secure wireless LAN functionality, the PRO 4100 is an ideal solution for a host of wired and wireless applications requiring high-speed access and workgroup segmentation.  Robust trusted network protection is achieved across all Ethernet ports, virtual LANs and connected wireless LANs to eliminate threats originating inside corporate networks, between networked departments or data center zones.

To extend flexibility and performance throughout the network, the PRO 4100 also supports virtual local area networks (VLANs), enterprise class-routing and QoS features as standard offerings. The dynamically updatable architecture provides around-the-clock security updates without administrator intervention.
