KYOCERA MITA ENTERS NEW SPEED SEGMENT WITH LAUNCH OF 80 PPM MONO MFP

Kyocera Mita, the pioneering document imaging company, today announced the launch of two new multifunction devices at the top end of its product speed range. The KM-6030, at 60 A4 pages per minute, and the KM-8030 at 80 pages per minute, deliver all the reliability and productivity benefits offered by Kyoceras long life engine technology, as well as an impressive array of finishing options. They are designed to sit at the heart of busy departments and enhance productivity and workflow with time-saving digital print, copy and scan functions.

Both the KM-6030 and KM-8030 are equipped with standard duplex scanning and a 200-sheet document processor which ensures the fast, efficient handling of large documents. The machines are optimised for departments with heavy workloads offering a standard paper capacity of 4,100 sheets, upgradeable to as much as 8,100 sheets in a space saving design. The large capacity paper trays may be opened and refilled without interrupting the job in progress, ensuring continuous production during long print runs.

Rachel Dean, Product Manager at Kyocera Mita (UK) Ltd, comments: These two new machines are designed to support heavy usage from departments right up to light production level. They benefit from robust build quality and Kyoceras long life technology, which minimises the amount of routine maintenance the machines require and maximises uptime for end users. The KM-6030 and KM-8030 are entering market segments that are showing healthy growth and we are confident that they will make a strong impact.

The KM-6030 and KM-8030 are designed to integrate easily into an organisations document management system with fast scan-to-PC capabilities enabling the easy digitisation of hard copy documents. Scan-to-email and scan-to-FTP functionality is also included and the machines are LDAP compatible.

New engine
The newly developed engine is supported by a maintenance cycle of 500,000 pages with no degradation in quality. This reduces both downtime for end users, and maintenance time for servicing dealers. Kyoceras unique long life drum technology gives the KM-6030 a life of 3.6 million pages and the KM-8030 a life of 4.8 million pages.

Both machines can be expanded with an optional 20 GB hard disk for print functions, which enables Kyoceras enhanced multiple printing system (eMPS). An optional Data Security kit (B) ensures that documents are permanently deleted to ISO standard from the devices hard disk once they have been printed, copied, or scanned and are no longer required.
