SMC BOOSTS RESELLER MARGINS WITH NEW 'TRADE-UP' PROGRAMME

SMC Networks has announced the launch of a new 'Trade-Up' programme
designed to help UK resellers encourage customers to replace their
old network infrastructure with the latest high performancae switches and
wireless products.

SMC is promoting 'Trade-Up' to end-customers with press advertising and
telemarketing, offering them money-back for old kit from any manufacturer.
Resellers that take advantage will benefit by winning projects without the
need to reduce product margins.

Ross Green, UK business development manager for SMC Networks, said: "There
are a lot of customers out there that have not replaced their network
infrastructure for several years and are thinking about upgrading. This
programme provides a compelling reason for them to make the decision and
replace old wired and wireless products. It's a great opportunity for our
reseller partners."

Product traded can be wired Ethernet hubs, bridges and switches; as well as
wireless access points, bridges and interface cards.
