ADL (Application Developments Ltd) have recently installed the latest generation of its highly successful double-base ALline EC labelling machine with Biolab UK, a premier supplier of swimming pool treatment chemicals.
Biolab wanted ADL to supply a highly flexible stand alone labelling system capable of front-back and wraparound labelling of both filled & empty cylindrical, elliptical and flat-sided bottles and cans with labels up to 200mm leading edge.
ADL supplied and installed its tried and tested double base ALline EC all-in-one linear labelling system.
Lee Robertson, Operations Director of Biolab U.K Ltd says:
Since the introduction of the ADL Labelling system we have seen a marked improvement in our productivity ahead of our forecasted levels.
The ALline featured an in-feed gapping system, product orientation device, two ALRitma 200 high-speed label applicators, a top stabilisation belt, and a wraparound unit with a corresponding backing plate.
The machine was also constructed of a high-grade stainless steel because of Biolabs potentially corrosive environment.
A key feature to the flexibility and ease of use of the ALline is its ability to save product formats.
The ALline Simplifies and speeds up time spent on product change over by storing settings which can later be re-called for any individual product. Therefore each job only requires one set up and from then on the settings can just be re-called.
The robust construction of the ALline product handling system ensures alignment of its features (the applicator, conveyor and wraparound etc) therefore avoids timely re-alignment, poor quality labelling and speeds up product changeover.
