ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced today that its Celerity FC-41XS, a high-performance 4-Gigabit (4-Gb) Fibre Channel storage adapter, will be incorporated into Avid Technology, Inc.s new Avid Unity MediaNetwork 4.0 shared storage solution to meet the needs of the most demanding postproduction environments.
This expanded collaboration between ATTO Technology and Avid builds on more than a decade of combined success providing productivity-enhancing rich media solutions. In their latest collaboration, ATTO supplies Avid with Celerity FC-41XS, the next-generation of advanced storage connectivity solutions leveraging the latest in storage performance with 4-Gb Fibre Channel. Providing speeds of up to 800 MB/sec., the single-channel Celerity FC-41XS storage adapter provides the highest available throughput for Fibre Channel applications while protecting technology investments via backward compatibility with existing 2-Gb infrastructure. With ATTOs unique Advanced Data Streaming (ADS) Technology, Celerity FC-41XS enables Avid Unity MediaNetwork 4.0 users to achieve the ultimate in I/O performance. With a combination of features that provides controlled acceleration of large and small blocks of data, ADS provides faster, smoother and more efficient transfer of data for streaming applications.
