Cognex UK Ltd is pleased to announce that it has recently signed a distribution agreement with Parmley Graham Ltd. Parmley Graham, the UK's leading independent distributor of industrial automation equipment, will be responsible for the UK sales and distribution of Cognexs new high speed vision sensor, Checker.
Checker is a totally new, ultra high-speed feature checker. It is ideal for checking that all the components are present on an assembly. Checker is a great tool for solving many manufacturing problems that previously were difficult or impossible to solve with single photo sensors, multiple photo sensors or other similar devices.
Checker is the first member of Cognexs new family of smart sensors. Unlike general purpose vision systems that can be programmed to perform a wide variety of tasks, each model in the Checker family will do only one thing, but it will do it extraordinarily fast and well, said Declan ODea, UK & Ireland Sales Manager at Cognex. Because Checker was designed from the ground up to be low price and easy to use, factory technicians and electricians will find Checker an attractive tool for solving many manufacturing problems that they previously solvedor tried to solvewith photodetectors or other sensors.
This agreement combines Cognex's market-leading smart sensor technology with Parmley Grahams experience in distributing the most advanced industrial automation products to a broad range of industries. In doing this we have created a partnership which will bring true low cost, high-performance feature checking capability to UK manufacturers and OEMs

Checker represents a new generation of smart sensor which will help Parmley Graham continue in this mission.
