WatchGuard Unveils New European Secure Partner Programme

The revised WatchGuard Secure Partner Programme (WSP) offers VARs increased pay-outs for product and service rebates. WatchGuard Certified Professionals can now receive 5% rebates while WatchGuard Certified Experts can obtain 10% rebates on appliances, upgrades and options.*
"The WSP programme has been a great success, and we're as committed as ever to helping our partners to further maximise their margins and secure ongoing revenues," said Richard Reid, WatchGuard's Managing Director, EMEA. "Unlike the traditional approach of security appliance vendors, WatchGuard's focus is firmly on enabling partners to grow with their customers, meeting their security needs at every stage."
He continued, "Our goal is to support customers as their security needs evolve. WatchGuard's family of Firebox X upgradeable products and subscription services allow us to do exactly that. However, unlike many vendors, WatchGuard also structures its incentive and rebate scheme to ensure partners are fully rewarded."
*Certification requirements stipulate that for Professionals, two sales engineers must pass the WatchGuard Certified System Professional (WCSP) and one sales representative must pass the WatchGuard Sales Professional (WSP) in each location. Experts can earn their status with two sales engineers passing the WCSP and two sales representatives passing the WSP in each location.
The move reiterates WatchGuard's commitment to helping its partners achieve ongoing revenue from subscription-based services as well as upgrades and add-ons. The layered security and model upgrade capabilities of WatchGuard's Firebox X family of appliances allow additional services and functionality to be delivered quickly and easily via a software license key. Secure partners can also manage these subscriptions more effectively using WatchGuard's recently-launched Customer Renewal Tool.
