Intermec and Agility Systems strike partnership to assist manufacturers

Agility Systems has been selected by Intermec Technologies to provide the Supply Chain Execution demonstration software to complement its RFID demonstration suite at the RFID Centre in Bracknell.

The demonstration suite contains Agilitys new Radio Frequency Interactive Device (RFID) middleware technology, which is being used in conjunction with Intermecs hardware product range to increase the efficiency and visibility of manufacturers pallet tracking systems.

Agilitys software has enabled Intermec to clearly demonstrate the technology in use. Adrian Bastow, EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) marketing manager at Intermec, says: To truly demonstrate the RFID enabled supply chain, we selected business partner, Agility Systems, which enabled Intermec to truly show the business benefits of RFID and to demonstrate that the technology is now available.

The RFID Centre contains a wide range of RFID demonstrations and cross-sector applications to help organisations assess its potential value and business impact.

The centre is relevant to all organisations, public or private sector, that wish to learn more about RFID in a neutral environment. It is independent (founded by UK Government and commercial sponsors) to provide education on both business and technical issues. It is the first port of call for anyone evaluating RFID for their own organisation, or to integrate with a trading partner who is planning to deploy RFID.

Simon Storey, business development director at Agility Systems, says: The new RFID Supply Chain Execution demonstration suite is designed to add value to our existing products and services. Customers can see for themselves how our RFID technology can be used in a range of products and applied in a variety of business processes.

Services are the key to a successful RFID implementation. Agility has invested in qualified RFID engineers to deliver efficient use of this technology to fit customer demands.
